Guidelines, Hints & Tips

From providing information on the photographs and text required to giving advice on what works best, the following guidelines, hints & tips are designed to give you an insight into how you can produce the best results from your DVD Wedding Invitations.

Photograph Guidelines

In the production of your DVD Invitation, there are  required photographs that you need to provide.

  • A picture of you, the Bride to be
  • A picture of your fiancé, the Groom to be
  • The ceremony venue
  • The reception venue - this can include outdoor and indoor photographs along with signage for the venue.
  • Photographs of you both as a couple.

Hints & Tips

Why not include one or two pictures of you from your  childhood, or photographs that can help tell the story of how you met, or of your engagement.  You can also take pictures of yourselves at different times up to placing your order to be included in your DVD Invitation.

Please ensure that you select photographs with scope for movement or rotation within the slideshow. An example of this is a picture of you both with a landmark in the background. We can zoom in or out from you both to reveal the landmark or start on the landmark to bring you both into the picture.

Photograph specifications - The quality of your DVD Invitation will only be as good as the photographs which you provide, therefore we recommend a minimum photo size of 3 million pixels. Your selection of photographs can be e-mailed through one by one or alternatively you can send a CD or memory card. Any scanned photographs should be saved in jpeg format.

Text Guidelines

To enable your invitation to provide your guests with the relevant information, the following text is required.

  • The names of the Bride and Groom
  • The name and address of the ceremony venue
  • The name and address of the reception venue
  • The time of the ceremony
  • The names of the wedding 'hosts', usually the Brides parents
  • The RSVP address

Hints & Tips

Make your invitation more personal to you by telling the story of how you met or how he proposed. You can also provide information for your guests from places to stay, directions to the church or reception, to your wedding gift list. If your guests are required to select their menu, your menu text can also be included.

Video Guidelines

Digital video clips is an optional upgrade, however including even a short clip will make your DVD Invitation even more special.

Hints & Tips

Can't think of what to include...

  • Why not make a short clip thanking your guests for watching your invitation and saying that you hope they can join in the celebrations on your special day.
  • Include short clips from special occasions or from your travels which we can seamlessly join together.
  • Video each other talking about why you are right for each other. Go on be romantic !

Let your imagination take over. The possibilities are endless.

Video specifications - Videos should be forwarded in either mpeg format or on a mini DV tape.
